I’m in the process of weeding out my wardrobe. My closet and drawers are stuffed like a turkey. I have apparel that never see the light of day (Hello ‘Girls Are Angels, Boys Are Not’ t-shirt!) and things I’m holding onto just because I’ve had them for so long (Mickey Mouse jersey, anyone?).
But since I’m going to be moving soon, I may as well whittle down my wardrobe and donate what I don’t need or want to charity so there’s less to pack.
One of the first items to get the boot will be my hippie shirt (it has yellow tie-dye, daisies lined up in the shape of a heart, and scalloped edging - yeah, I know…pretty bad - I went through a flower-power phase in early high school when everyone was doing the goth thing).
But at least it wasn’t nearly as bad as my grade 10 religion teacher. On any given day, she was known to sport the most ridiculous sweaters that had feathers, pom poms, and even bells - all on the same top! It couldn’t be anymore hyperactive and ‘out there.’
