Mutt’s Day - So, here I was, all pumped to finally talk about dogs, when I realized that the word ‘mutt’ didn’t mean what I thought it meant. A ‘mutt’ possesses mixed characteristics of two different types of dogs, normally called a half breed. In my world and in my personal dictionary, I identify these dogs as the hilarious names breeders and pet owners come up with. My personal favorite - the Goldendoodle, a mix between a golden retriever and a poodle! I am astonished at how many dog owners there are nowadays. I myself have a ten-year-old Pomeranian named Brandy. He is not a mutt; however, that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t use this day to be thankful for all dogs. If Brandy could walk around the block without getting tired, I would definitely take him for a walk. I’m sure he’ll settle for a delicious, yummy dog treat instead.
