International Literacy Day - Today’s holiday is not silly at all. It’s pretty serious, and if you consider the illiteracy statistics right now, you’d be inclined to take special regard to International Literacy Day. The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization established this day all the way back in 1965. This day focuses on the literacy of adults, communities and societies. Nowadays, it’s not uncommon to hear that there are developing countries with no educational facilities where children don’t receive any form of education, let alone a proper one. Pardon Day - If you ever get the chance to talk to me in person, I bet you’ll hear me say “pardon” more than once.
