Harold didn’t know why Zoë didn’t call him back after he made dinner for her. She finished everything on her paper plate. And so what if her plastic fork broke during the meal? Harold replaced it promptly with a new one. Okay, so yeah, wine in a Styrofoam cup was a little weird, too.
Chances are that she didn’t want a repeat of last night because she took one look at the utensils and dishes and thought a potential relationship with Harold would be the same – disposable. Had he not skimped out and instead bought from Oneida, maybe there would be Date #2 in the works.
