Bargain Bonanza - Sur La Table Is French for ‘On the Table’, But at Fabu Daily, We Know It Really Means ‘On Top of All the Best Offers’ - 20% off Bakeware & Porcelain

If there’s one thing that I love doing (other than writing for Fabu Daily, of course), it’s baking. It could be muffins or cookies. It doesn’t really matter. The aroma that wafts out of the oven is worth the messy clean up of battered wooden spoons and measuring cups.

So of course when I came across the latest Sur La Table offer, I just had to promote it! Use the free Sur La Table coupons by September 30 for 20% off bakeware! Think that’s great? (It is!) There’s more. Until October 31, you can also get 20% off porcelain items!

Just taking baby steps toward learning how to bake? I highly recommend The Joy of Cooking books. I’ve got the latest anniversary edition, and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve consulted it for everything edible.

But even if you have the best recipes handy, it won’t help if you don’t have the right pans or trays to make all your baking dreams a reality. These are some that no baker should be without, as they are pretty standard for most recipes.

That’s How the Cookie Crumbles

When cookies come out of the oven, they need to rest and cool off for a few minutes before you put them away in an air-tight container (yeah right - more like eating them!). This allows them to stay intact so you don’t get any of that crumbly business. Try the Sur La Table Cooling Grid for the best results.

Do You Know the Muffin Man?

Ever since I learned that song in daycare, I would sing it for hours straight. At least this is what my mother says. But enough about my budding singing career! Get the Sur La Table Nonstick Muffin Pans to make blueberry muffins (Mmm…my favorite!) or large cupcakes!

Come uncover a treasure trove full of quality bakeware that allows you to make all those yummy treats you’ve seen the pros create on the food shows. And then present your masterpieces with pizazz when you get porcelain dishes and more from Sur La Table!

September 26th - This Day in History - Why go to the grocery store when you’ve got fresh produce in the backyard? Plant veggies & herbs with Park Seed products for 10% off!

September 26th - It was on this day in history in 1962 that the TV comedy The Beverly Hillbillies premiered on CBS.  My favorite character was Daisy May, aka Granny. Maybe I like her so much because she reminds me of my grandmother. Both women thought they could cure anything with plants and herbs. Gramma used to maintain quite the garden in her backyard. One side was dedicated to veggies, the other to herbs. And the front yard was a gorgeous wonderland of flowers and vines. If you’re an avid gardener, or enjoy the freshest produce at your finger tips, then head over to Park Seed for herbs, houseplants, seeds & bulbs, vegetables and more! Plus, redeem exclusive Park Seed coupons for 10% off everything.

1969 - Beatles Release Abbey Road - This was the eleventh album produced by the Beatles. The album before this one (Get Black) wasn’t very successful as the Beatles tried something new with their music that fans didn’t respond to very well. Abbey Road went back to songs that identified more with their original sound and vibe. Hence, this album became a HUGE hit instantly as fans felt reunited with the band. If you want to unite with the Beatles again and enjoy the good-old days, here’s what I suggest you do: Create a shrine in your home with Beatles posters, vintage tickets, old-school prints and more. Then, turn the lights low, light some incense and pop in the Abbey Road album. Sit back, close your eyes and let your memory take you back…to great times. Here’s where you’ll find all the stuff I mentioned on sale:

Famous Birthday

Serena Williams, 27 - How that poor little green tennis ball doesn’t catch fire when she hits it is beyond me. This World No. 1 tennis champion is definitely on her game. She’s won 18 Grand Slam titles, 2 Olympic gold medals and was also ranked 17th best player in the past 40 years by Tennis Magazine.  She is determined, focused and almost in a trance-like state when she plays as she concentrated on one thing: winning. Hit the courts today and play like Serena Williams. Feel powerful and unbeatable when using tennis gear that’s performance oriented. Head over to Dicks Sporting Goods for brand name items like lightweight tennis shoes, tennis apparel, racquets and much more. And save 15% on your entire order when you redeem exclusive Dicks Sporting Goods coupons.

Love Note Day - I’m such a wuss for sappy mushy love notes. They’re so thoughtful and unexpected that make you feel so important and significant to someone. I’m not just talking about love notes from your sweetheart. I’m talking about love notes from anyone - your mom, dad, best friend or sibling. When me and my best friend first started high school, we really hated it to the point where we’d come home crying after school. Our moms would write us messages on our lunch bags putting smiles on our faces. It made the day that much more bearable. I have been fortunate that the guys who approached me (which weren’t many) would write me love letters or poems…now, things are a little different. There are two things called emails and text messages that I absolutely hate! They’re soo informal. Like come on people, you can’t tell someone you love them for the first time through a text message. You surely didn’t forget how to use your hands or fingers so take my advice and jot down a little love note and slip it in your partner’s bag or jacket. Once they find it and read it, the biggest grin will appear from their face! Here’s a little help from me: Expressionery.com. Save 20% on discount love note cards, labels and personalized stationery when you use Expressionery.com coupons.

Johnny Appleseed Day - For those of you who don’t know Johnny Appleseed, he originally went by the name John Chapman and he made his way by planting apple seeds along his travels west. He also made a decent living by selling trees to settlers he would meet. We celebrate Johnny Appleseed Day today because it was the day he was born. I feel like he was meant to sell and harvest apples because of the time of year he was born. We’re now officially in fall, and it’s also conveniently apple season, so when you put two and two together, it kind of makes sense that Johnny Appleseed sold apples for a living. He’s one of those people whose professions and birthdays are linked. You know what I mean? Like matchmakers who celebrate birthdays on or near Valentine’s Day! Get it? Well, I say today we celebrate Johnny Appleseed Day by eating an apple or two! Or you could check out Park Seed. They say the best time to plant apple seeds is in the late fall to winter months. There’s no time like the present to get everything you need to plant apple seeds so you could enjoy McIntosh and Golden Delicious varieties next spring! Apply Park Seed coupons and save 10% on apple seeds and other fruit seeds!
