Love Note Day - I’m such a wuss for sappy mushy love notes. They’re so thoughtful and unexpected that make you feel so important and significant to someone. I’m not just talking about love notes from your sweetheart. I’m talking about love notes from anyone - your mom, dad, best friend or sibling. When me and my best friend first started high school, we really hated it to the point where we’d come home crying after school. Our moms would write us messages on our lunch bags putting smiles on our faces. It made the day that much more bearable. I have been fortunate that the guys who approached me (which weren’t many) would write me love letters or poems…now, things are a little different. There are two things called emails and text messages that I absolutely hate! They’re soo informal. Like come on people, you can’t tell someone you love them for the first time through a text message. You surely didn’t forget how to use your hands or fingers so take my advice and jot down a little love note and slip it in your partner’s bag or jacket. Once they find it and read it, the biggest grin will appear from their face! Here’s a little help from me: Expressionery.com. Johnny Appleseed Day - For those of you who don’t know Johnny Appleseed, he originally went by the name John Chapman and he made his way by planting apple seeds along his travels west. He also made a decent living by selling trees to settlers he would meet. We celebrate Johnny Appleseed Day today because it was the day he was born. I feel like he was meant to sell and harvest apples because of the time of year he was born. We’re now officially in fall, and it’s also conveniently apple season, so when you put two and two together, it kind of makes sense that Johnny Appleseed sold apples for a living. He’s one of those people whose professions and birthdays are linked. You know what I mean? Like matchmakers who celebrate birthdays on or near Valentine’s Day! Get it? Well, I say today we celebrate Johnny Appleseed Day by eating an apple or two! Or you could check out Park Seed. They say the best time to plant apple seeds is in the late fall to winter months. There’s no time like the present to get everything you need to plant apple seeds so you could enjoy McIntosh and Golden Delicious varieties next spring! Apply Park Seed coupons and save 10% on apple seeds and other fruit seeds!
