World Tourism Day - Today is World Tourism Day which is a special day to recognize the impact and necessity of tourism to our economy. World Tourism Day was established by the UNWTO in Spain in 1979. When it comes down to it, tourism comes down to one main goal: traveling and learning about new and unique cultures around the world, whether that may be on another continent or just South of your state. I love traveling; however, I don’t get to do that much of it. I do think it’s a great and smart way to make the economy prosperous. The thing about going on vacation to sightsee and essentially be a tourist is that if you go to highly populous tourist destinations, everything is always sooo busy. You can’t escape it. It just goes to show just how many people there are in the world with things to do and places to see. I have not visited very many tourist spots for that reason alone.
