Bargain Bonanza - Shopping at Toys R Us for Kids’ Hallowe’en Costumes Is So Easy, It’s like Taking Candy from a Baby! - 35% off Select Hallowe’en Costumes

At Hallowe’en you can take on a different persona. To date, I’ve been a cat, ER surgeon, hippie, cop, goth punk rocker, witch, devil, princess, angel, and She-Ra. I’m not sure what I’ll go as this year, but I always think of something.

Get a head start, and go costume shopping before the maddening crowds bombard the stores. If you order online from Toys R Us by October 4, you’ll get 35% off select Hallowe’en costumes! Just be sure to use the free Toys R Us coupons to save on everything from Spiderman to Tigger outfits.

Oh my gosh! There are so many great costumes available for infants, children, adults, and pets, but these ones for kids definitely take the cake for the cutest and/or funniest:

When Life Hands You Lemons, Dress up As a Lobster

The vibrant, imaginative Lobster getup fits infants 12-18 months old. It’s too adorable for words with its funky extra legs, hat with antenna and eyes, plus hand covers in the shape of claws. There’s even a special zippered area so changing diapers won’t leave parents feeling like the adults in Robert Munsch’s book, Thomas’ Snowsuit.

Let This Black Cat Cross Your Path

Okay, so I’m totally a sucker for felines! You’ll fall for them, too the moment you set eyes on the black Cat’s Meow Hoodie Set for very-young infants aged 0 to 3 months. The hoodie has spunky cat ears, and there’s a small bib that says ‘Meow’ in a white scripted font.

It’s Alive!

Give some love for the insane Doctor/Mad Scientist Roleplay Costume that comes with a white lab coat. Wear it with Coke-bottle glasses and a crazy white wig. And don’t forget to fill a plastic test tube with neon liquid for extra drama. This outfit fits children 4-6 years old.

Come take a look around today at Toys R Us! There’s so much to see, and my entry doesn’t do their selection justice. Buy something for your child(ren) and maybe even a fun outfit for yourself!

Bargain Bonanza - You Won’t Have to Sing “Quit Playing Games with My Wallet” or Pose as a Lame Boy Band to Save a Bundle at EB Games - 10% off Any New DS, PSP, or PS2 Game $29.99 or More

I’m definitely not a gamer because in order to call yourself one, you have to be able to play for longer than a few seconds without ‘dying’. Why is it that whenever my character has to leap across a cliff, I always fall to my demise? I guess I need more practice. Well, I need that and some talcum powder for my hands because they sweat when I get nervous taking that jump.

Chances are that you’re better than I am when it comes to video games. So you won’t want to miss this special opportunity from EB Games that’ll help you save big. Redeem the free EB Games coupons for the following discounts:

  • 10% off Any New DS, PSP, or PS2 Game $29.99 or More (Valid until October 11)
  • 15% off Used Games (Limited time only)
  • Free Shipping on Orders of $25 or More (Limited time only)

Here are just some of the great titles you can (pre)order:

  • Fallout 3 - You play a survivor in the aftermath of the 2077 Global Atomic War, dealing with giant insects & super mutants
  • Spore Creatures - Save your species from extinction & fight/befriend other creatures along your galactic journey
  • TNA Impact - Get ready to rumble in this wrestling-themed game that delivers punch-after-punch of entertainment
  • FIFA Soccer 08 - Let’s play ball & shoot to score

With EB Games, there’s never a dull moment. Pick up one or a few games today, and let the good times roll! But please…don’t make me jump another cliff.

September 29th - I know, I don’t need to remind you what day it is. Mondays are tough, I’ll give you that. But they can be great when you start them off with a hot cup of java…flavored java…like pumpkin spice, cinnamon, French vanilla…oh! and Irish cream. Sorry, I got a little carried away there. But, if you stock up on some of these delicious flavors, I guarantee you that your Mondays will NEVER be the same! Head over to CoffeeForLess for an array of coffee flavors in coffee bean or pod form. And redeem exclusive CoffeeForLess coupons for 6% off everything!

1982 - First Broadcast of Cheers on NBC-TV - This show was great! Especially when Woody would be behind the counter. Poor guy didn’t always catch on when people were pulling his leg; jokes would go right over his head. But my favorite part of this show was the theme song…”You wanna go where everybody knows your name…” It’s true though, when someone uses your name when they’re talking to you, it feels more personal. So, the next time you’re buying someone a gift, personalize it with their name or a phrase that identifies with them. PersonalCreations.com has dozens and dozens of ideas for you to choose from. Use our free PersonalCreation.com coupons for 20% off personalized golf gifts, graduation gifts and much more!

Famous Birthday

Madeline Kahn, 66 - You’d never guess this Blazing Saddles star’s age by looking at her. She doesn’t look a day over 30! Her skin’s so smooth, soft and youthful that it actually glows. I just hope I age as beautifully as she does. For gorgeous skin like Madeline Kahn, use Elizabethth Arden’s Anti-Aging Treatment package from Beauty.com. Get visibly smoother skin that feels softer. Find this and other skincare products for less. And redeem exclusive Beauty.com coupons for $10 off when you spend $60 or more.

Everybody’s Day - That’s righttt! Today, it doesn’t have to be your birthday, anniversary or special occasion. It’s Everybody’s Day so everyone can celebrate TOGETHER! Historically, Everybody’s Day has been a celebrated event in Thomasville, North Carolina. Everybody goes to this 100 year old festival to take part in special events, activities and more fun. Just about everybody can go too! If you can’t make it to this festival, then decide on a way to celebrate in your city. Have you ever wished you shared a birthday with a close friend just so that you can throw the biggest bash of the year? Well, what’s stopping you from doing that today? NOTHING! I give you full permission (like you need it anyway) to celebrate Everybody’s Day by inviting a bunch of your friends, family and anyone else to your place…OR…get ready…your neighborhood park! Well, we’re celebrating Everybody’s Day which means you need a HUGE place to put everybody, right? Now that we’re on the same page, start thinking about a theme and carry that theme to your decorations. There’s just one thing: how will you tell everybody about this party? Check out VistaPrint and your problem is solved! Save 50% on discount custom party invitations, cards and more when you use VistaPrint coupons.

Confucius Day - I don’t need to go into a whole description of the man in today’s holiday. It’s Confucius, one of the greatest philosophers of all time (I think all philosophers were pretty great). There’s no escaping his teachings and wise sayings. I love quotations so therefore I’m a huge fan of his sayings. Although, you know how the saying goes “don’t believe everything you read,” well, it’s true. You’d normally find Confucius sayings in a fortune cookie and often times it would have a humorous twist to it. Chances are if you’re reading a humorous limerick that has Confucius’ name below it, it has most likely been slightly altered. I’m not sure why people would alter his teachings and sayings. I enjoy them the way they are - thought provoking and deep! We should totally celebrate today’s holiday by taking a glimpse at his famous life lessons and reflecting on them. OK, we’ll start with me since I have my personal favorite ready to go, it reads “Wheresoever you go, go with all your heart.” What’s your favorite? If you don’t have one and always wanted to read more about this philosopher (or others), then check out Overstock. Save $5 on discount books on a wide range of topics on orders of $100 or more when you use Overstock coupons.
