Everybody’s Day - That’s righttt! Today, it doesn’t have to be your birthday, anniversary or special occasion. It’s Everybody’s Day so everyone can celebrate TOGETHER! Confucius Day - I don’t need to go into a whole description of the man in today’s holiday. It’s Confucius, one of the greatest philosophers of all time (I think all philosophers were pretty great). There’s no escaping his teachings and wise sayings. I love quotations so therefore I’m a huge fan of his sayings. Although, you know how the saying goes “don’t believe everything you read,” well, it’s true. You’d normally find Confucius sayings in a fortune cookie and often times it would have a humorous twist to it. Chances are if you’re reading a humorous limerick that has Confucius’ name below it, it has most likely been slightly altered. I’m not sure why people would alter his teachings and sayings. I enjoy them the way they are - thought provoking and deep! We should totally celebrate today’s holiday by taking a glimpse at his famous life lessons and reflecting on them. OK, we’ll start with me since I have my personal favorite ready to go, it reads “Wheresoever you go, go with all your heart.” What’s your favorite? If you don’t have one and always wanted to read more about this philosopher (or others), then check out Overstock. Save $5 on discount books on a wide range of topics on orders of $100 or more when you use Overstock coupons.
