October 17th - It was on this day in history in 1959 that Queen Elizabeth was fined $140 for withdrawing her race horse. Wow, I know some companies like to stick to the notion that rules apply to absolutely everyone, but the Queen of England? And what’s $140 to her anyway? I guess someone was just trying to make a point.  For companies out there, there is an easier way to make a point and get noticed. Get your name out there with VistaPrint. Wear Something Gaudy Day - There’s not much explaining that needs to be done here. If you don’t know what the word ‘gaudy’ means, in a nutshell, gaudy refers to anything that you wear that’s flashy, tacky or showy. Two weeks before Halloween, and we’re allowed to pre dress up. Perhaps today you can pull out something from your closet (preferably something from the 70s, 80s or 90s) and wear it proudly. Keep in mind: it should be a little gaudy in order for you to take part in today’s holiday. Actually, what am I saying, all clothing from those decades were gaudy! Since clothing stores nowadays don’t sell gaudy retro clothing, I can’t help you out in that department. What I can do is remind you to get your costume ready. I got my costume planned out and it’s ULTRA gaudy…just the way I like it. So head over to Costume SuperCenter and browse the biggest selection of adult and children’s costumes! Save 5% on discounted infant and adult Halloween costumes, accessories and wigs on orders of $30 or more when you use Costume SuperCenter coupons.

Mulligan Day - Have you ever heard anyone shout “DO OVER!” before in sports? Well, you most likely heard it in a game of golf. Mulligan is a golf term that simply means “do over.” Although this is true, mulligans are only allowed in social golf and are banned from the official rules of golf. So um, what’s the point of a mulligan if you can’t use it to your benefit in professional sports? Simply put, I highly doubt trained athletes like Tiger Woods really need mulligans on his side. Amateur and leisure golf enthusiasts may need them more to perfect their game! Now it’s time for one of my many enlightening stories. I was in 7th grade and I was serving in a game of volleyball when my serve sort of sunk. I asked my teacher if I could ‘redo’ the shot, and she wouldn’t let me and went on how professional athletes don’t get redos so why should I! I’m all for second chances and I’m totally on par with today’s holiday and you should too. In case you missed one of my outstanding deals at iWin, luckily for you, you can check it out again! Save 40% on discount online arcade, board and puzzle games when you use iWin coupons.
