October 27th - This Day in History - E.T. phone hooooome! Watch this classic film as you munch on handfuls of tasty popcorn that food-vacuum, E.T., would approve of. Save 15% at Dale and Thomas Popcorn today!

October 27th - “E.T phone hooooome.” It was on this day in history in 1988 that E.T was first sold on video. There were over 14 million pre-sold copies before it was even released! I loved that movie. I’d watch it over and over again. Especially the part when Drew Barrymore discovers E.T. in her brother’s room and screams at the top of her lungs.  E.T. responds with the same high-pitched scream creating one of the most chaotic, funniest movie scenes I’ve ever watched.  Another part I love is when E.T. discovers his love for Reese’s Pieces.  He really loved his food! So, as a tribute to the cutest alien ever, I suggest you make it a movie night with the family.  But, you can’t pop just any old popcorn, you know. E.T. would put all his favorite toppings on popcorn before he took a handful. So, head over to Dale and Thomas Popcorn for an array of popcorn choices. Discover white-cheddar cheese flavored popcorn, peanut-butter & chocolate drizzle corn and much more! Plus, use our exclusive Dale and Thomas Popcorn coupons for 15% off orders of $85 or more.

Famous Birthday

Kelly Osbourne, 24 - I love that she changes her look so frequently. So far, I like the way she looks with black hair the best. Her big almond-shaped eyes, puffy lips and high cheekbones give her a distinctive look.  And she plays these features very well with dark black liners for her eyes and pale pinks for her lips. She also uses a pale, peachy blush that gives her face a faded hue, making her glow. Mimic Kelly’s famous look by shopping at Beauty.com for liquid liners, lip glosses & blushes for less. Redeem our free Beauty.com coupons for $10 off when you spend $60 or more!

Cranky Coworkers Day - Every workplace has a few cranky coworkers that give new meaning to the word depressing. This day couldn’t have come at a better time…some people are going to be a little crankier than normal today. OK, so I’m not going to sit here and point fingers because I am cranky at times. I can’t help it if I don’t want to leave my warm bed in the morning! However, there’s a difference between a quiet crank and an obnoxious one. I’m a quiet one, so my behavior is acceptable in my opinion! On the other hand, there’s really no good way of dealing with obnoxious cranky coworkers who prevent you from getting your work completed throughout the day. If you tried being tolerant, supportive and attentive, it’s time to try a new method. You’re just being way too nice! Run don’t walk to get deals at Dale and Thomas Popcorn and CoffeeForLess so no one in your workplace can complain about anything today:

Tell a Story Day - If you love a good book or story, then today is your day to celebrate. Tell a Story Day is mostly celebrated in the UK where librarians and teachers spend the day reading storybooks to children. The thing about children’s books that I find fascinating is that as I got older, they had so much more meaning than they did compared to when I was like 7 or 8 years old. Sometimes I pick up an old storybook and start bawling my eyes out at how touching it is! In terms of today’s holiday, I believe anyone can tell a story so everyone should be able to and want to participate. Everyone is a storyteller, young and old alike. I personally love stories told by my parents and grandparents. I remember I could never fall asleep at night until my mom told me stories about when she was growing up. Today, you should do what else…tell a story! If you’re serious about telling a story, check out Expressionery.com for tools that’ll help you get started. Save 20% on printed paper, notepads, stationery and more when you apply Expressionery.com coupons!
