Stay Home Because You Are Well Day - Well, if we all had work today, I would say, call in and say you’re not coming in because you feel great! That’d be nice huh? Nonetheless, it’s Sunday so you’re at home regardless. You’ve most likely had a crazy week with all the festivities and need a day to reenergize and relax. My point is: do whatever you can today to put everything aside and take a YOU day. No interruptions, no running errands, no chores, no meetings…NOTHING. When’s the last time you had a day like that? I bet not for a LONG time! Take this holiday seriously and you’ll feel so much better and able to start the work week on a high note. I love those days, when it’s just me, myself and I, when I get to do nothing except watch TV, stay in bed and relax. It’s probably what I do best. If you want to save this holiday for the future, then you’ll have to run that by your boss. Let me know what he says! If you do plan on staying in and need something to occupy your time, then check out my deals at Designer Linens Outlet. New customers save 10% on Beyond bed linens, Elegance bed sheets and Candies pillows when using Designer Linens Outlet coupons. Don’t forget to check out our deals for Cyber Monday tomorrow!
Clear up the Clutter Day - Oh man, I really need to participate in today’s holiday. The amount of clutter building up in my house is unreal and my bedroom…don’t get me started on that! I recently threw out junk from 10 years ago. I’m pretty bad at collecting clutter. I have a tendency to hold onto things for sentimental value. It could be the ugliest sweater, oldest teddy bear or blanket, and yet I won’t throw out anything if someone special gave it to me. I hope no one threw away anything I gave them, that would be sad! Anyway, to get back to today’s holiday, Clear up the Clutter Day, it’s all about getting rid of the old so you can make way for the new. Sounds bad, doesn’t it? We’re getting rid of clutter just to make room for more? You could do something today that makes the clutter appear less visible and thus, you have more room for new things. AHA! Genius! So first start piling everything in boxes that you absolutely do not want. Next, shop online at Sears where you can find tons of tools to keep you organized. Save up to 50% in the clearance section on home organization products and more when you use Sears coupons.

Square Dance Day - Swing your partner ’round and ’round! Come on everybody, dosey do…yee haw! Wow, I forgot how much fun dancing was. And square dancing…don’t get me started on that! Who needs to join a gym when you can grab a partner, go ’round and ’round and do the two step? Square dancing is fun, lively and quick. It’s not all fun and games though. The art of square dancing is very precise and calculated. And it’s all about the music. If you don’t have the rhythm going, you won’t get the full effect. I don’t know why Square Dance Day is today; nonetheless, it’s a Saturday and if you don’t have plans, maybe you should go to your local bar and get your groove on. Get out there, partner! Burn some calories square dancing and laughing. You’ll feel better! I have a suggestion whether you’re taking up square dancing as a hobby or just for the night, check out Boot Barn for the best selection of cowboy and cowgirl gear. Save 15% on Durango, John Deere and Frye cowboy boots and apparel for the whole family on orders of $50 or more when you use Boot Barn coupons.
National Lemon Creme Pie - I know, I’m horrible for telling you about these holidays. It’s not my fault. And what are you complaining about? When it’s good food like this, who cares? There’s nothing overly indulgent about today’s holiday. Lemon creme pie or lemon meringue pie is pretty light and airy, which means you won’t feel like you’re going to explode after one bite. Lemon creme pie is usually a summer dessert because of the ingredients used and because, well, to me it looks like a summery dessert! It is a nice change to all the hearty desserts and meals you’ve been consuming lately and will continue to consume until December 26th. Maybe this is a sign to lay off the chocolate and pumpkin pies (YEAH RIGHT) and try a light, citrusy dessert. If you’re creative, make a pumpkin lemon creme pie suitable for this time of year. Whatever you do, check out Cooking.com for great recipe ideas and more. Plus, save 10% on Corningware bakeware, Corelle dinnerware and Wilton cake decorating supplies and more when you use Cooking.com coupons.

November 28th - It was on this day in history in 1582 that William Shakespeare married Anne Hathaway. How romantic! I wonder what kind of poems he wrote her when they were “courting”. I’ve read Romeo & Juliet like a dozen times, and although I know the tragic ending, I always find myself wishing that they could end up together…alive! Shakespeare tragedies have been transformed into box-office hits. Such films include Romeo & Juliet starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes, or Hamlet starring Kenneth Branagh and Kate Winslet. And who can forget 10 Things I Hate About You with Heath Ledger and Julia Stiles, which is the modernized version of The Taming of the Shrew. I think the reason Shakespeare tragedies are so popular is because Shakespeare was able to dive into the human psyche and bring to the surface our most primal fears about humiliation, fear of failure, and rejection. So, if you’re in the mood for a wildly-romantic yet tear-jerking movie, then find the full collection of modernized films based on Shakespeare plays at Target today. Be sure to redeem exclusive Target coupons to save $5 when you spend $50 or more.
1974 - John Lennon’s Last Concert Appearance - This concert was with Elton John at the MSG in New York City. Not only was John Lennon an amazing entertainer on stage, but his music always delivered a deeper meaning of peace for humanity. He strived to help people understand just how easily peace could be achieved if everyone simply did their part. This plea can be heard on the song Lennon wrote called Give Peace a Chance. If you’re a Lennon fan or a follower of his beliefs, then head over to Wolfgagns Vault for memorabilia of the musician that exudes his dream of peace. Discover posters that say “War Is Over” on large font, photos of him and Yoko singing together and much more. For 10-20% off your purchase, be sure to redeem exclusive Wolfgangs Vault coupons.
Famous Birthday
Paul Shaffer, 59 - He’s been David Letterman’s band leader or sidekick for over 20 years. He’s extremely talented when it comes to entertainment, music and playing many instruments. To be as versatile as he is with musical instruments, start practicing with discounted choices from Instrument Pro. Discover guitars, pianos, keyboards, drum sets and more for 10% off by redeeming exclusive Instrument Pro coupons.

Black Friday - So I’m sure you’re all aware that today, the day after Thanksgiving, is also Black Friday. Traditionally, this is the day to start your holiday shopping. The “black” in Black Friday usually refers to the huge amounts of traffic and crowded streets on the Friday after Thanksgiving. This started occurring more and more since the 1960s because most people started taking the day off of work after Thanksgiving, which meant more potential shoppers. So brilliant I tell ya! Virtually everything in stores (and online) will be dirt cheap today. It may be important to note that although Black Friday is one of those events once a year that you just have to experience, it doesn’t mean you have to deal with busy crowds, shoving shoppers and long line ups. You can shop at home you know and still get great deals. It’s Black Friday every day when you use our coupons! Today, check out a whole slew of Black Friday 2008 coupons on our Black Friday discounts page. We’ve done all the bargain hunting for you so you can save on everything from home electronics at Best Buy to toys for the kids at FAO Schwarz and something special for yourself at Shoes.com! Ready, set, SHOP!
Make Your Own Head Day - Hmm, ok…how would I go about making my own head? Maybe this holiday is really about making up your own mind or making decisions for yourself. Unless you’re a huge pushover, I’m sure this isn’t really hard for you to do. It’s important to start making decisions at a very young age so that you develop good decision-making skills in other areas of your life, like your career. Who am I to talk? Sometimes I can’t make a decision if my life depended on it. Other times I’m so impulsive. Nonetheless, today’s holiday is all about YOU, your head, your mind, your life! It’s all in your control. You should feel great about that. What kinds of decisions will you make today? To eat, not to eat leftovers from Thanksgiving? (This shouldn’t take you long to decide.) To go to the gym, not to go to the gym (um, maybe tomorrow?). To shop, not to shop? (YES YES YES.) Hey, don’t make me decide for you. Make up your own mind! If you change your mind, I’ll help you make the best decision yet by saving at Sierra Trading Post. Receive free shipping on orders of $75 or more on Columbia, Patagonia and Asolo apparel and footwear when you use Sierra Trading Post coupons.

The holidays are so close, Kris Kringle’s curly beard is practically tickling me! What does that mean (other than me getting first dibs on all the best presents in his sack)?
