Look for Circles Day - Have you ever walked around a mall or on the street (obviously you have), looked down and tried not to step on the lines? Oh man! This was the highlight of my visits to the mall until I discovered my knack and passion for shopping. Regardless, today is sort of like that…well, sort of, not really. Cookie Monster Day - Yummy yummy in my tummy…it’s Cookie Monster Day! Out of all the characters on Sesame Street, he was my favorite. I liked him so much that for Christmas one year I got Tickle Me Cookie Monster. He was so cute, the way he’d say “More cookies, hehe, haha, hehe, haha!” I can’t name one kid who doesn’t love cookies. There must be something that draws kids to cookie jars. My favorite was Michelle Tanner on Full House when DJ bribed her into Uncle Jesse’s gym bag with a cookie. How evil, yet clever! Since I enjoy baking, making cookies every few weeks is not uncommon for me to do. Usually I’ll make homemade chocolate chip cookies and they come out soft and chewy. Except this one time, I read the recipe wrong and the cookies came out like bricks. I kept wondering why they tasted like that until my mom brought it to my attention that I read the instructions wrong!
