November 3rd - It was on this day in history in 1956 that The Wizard of Oz was shown on TV for the first time. Although today I really like this movie, as a child it terrified me. Those evil, talking trees gave me the heebie jeebies. And the Wicked Witch sent chills down my spine, especially her hackling laugh. I was always glad though that it turned out to be a nightmare. My favorite part of the movie was Dorothy’s ruby-red shoes! I loved them so much that my mother bought me a pair just like them. The shoe fetish has stuck me until this day…my closet is stocked with tons of shoes. I love stilettos, knee-high boots, sandals, clogs & more.
