Button Day - There’s nothing more fun and at the same time so simple than buttons. Today on Button Day, there are so many ways to celebrate or interpret it. That’s the magic of buttons - they’re so versatile! First we’ll get the most obvious out of the way - button collections. Does anyone still do this? Yes! And why wouldn’t you? I’m in no way encouraging you to pick up random buttons off the floor from other peoples jackets or sweaters. I’m simply saying if you don’t wear tops or pants that have buttons, take the buttons off and use it another time when you lose a button. It’s so handy, I’m telling you! Buttons are also making a huge comeback in fashion, especially with the presidential race behind us. So how about it, did you wear your political party button proudly (say that 5 times fast) throughout the presidential campaign? If you did, good for you! Today on Button Day, no matter what you think of buttons, they are a true fashion staple detail on clothing. So check out National Jean Company for clothes that have, well um, buttons! Save 10% on Juicy Couture, Citizen’s of Humanity and True Religion denim and apparel when you use National Jean Company coupons.

International Day for Tolerance - Now, if you didn’t know, today is an actual holiday that was created by UNESCO in 1995 to promote awareness of the dangers of intolerance and violence. This day launched a worldwide campaign against intolerance and greater education in schools and continuing education for adults. It’s important that today is recognized by all and that everyone should make the effort to abide by the principals of this day every day, not just today. Another year is almost over (can’t believe it), so look back in the year and recognize the intolerances and injustices that happened throughout the world. War, poverty and injustices are at an all-time high, and it’s important that we do everything we can to support the country we live in by having significant days like this to remind us of what is right and wrong in the world and look toward change and progress. Today I encourage you to take an interest and active role in your country by reading up on world events and issues in your own country. Do that by subscribing to the leading newspaper, USA Today. Get 8 weeks for only $14 on a USA Today subscription when you use USA Today coupons.
