World Hello Day - Hello! Why, hello there! Hi, hey, how’s it going? Well, today friends, it’s World Hello Day, and though you may want to walk up to complete strangers and start saying hello (which is completely fine), that’s only one step in the process. Today is really about promoting world peace. The creators of this holiday Brian and Michael McCormack started this holiday in 1973 as a result of the conflicting countries Egypt and Israel. The holiday encourages you to “greet 10 people for peace.” Sounds easy enough. Although not all raging wars or issues will be solved in a day, you can make a difference in your own life. Perhaps you haven’t talked to someone in a while or had a falling out with them. Today is the day to bring some peace to the situation. It’ll mean much more to the person knowing that you thought of them on a day like today. You know what to do…when you’re out and about today, say hello to 10 people and then go home and give someone a call. Make sure you check out Hello Direct. False Confession Day - Today’s a very odd holiday. Doesn’t ”falsely confess” mean to lie about something? So why don’t we call this holiday “Go Ahead and Lie Day?” Maybe because lying is too easy nowadays. Remember back when you were growing up, how hard it was to get away with a lie? I don’t see this happen very much in my day-to-day life because well my life isn’t a soap opera or teen drama. Why anyone would falsely confess about something they didn’t do is beyond me. I watch it happen in every television show, someone confesses about something they didn’t do just to protect a friend or become famous. Hey, that’s really nice and all, except in real life, the consequences would be much stricter. Unlike other days, I’m going to encourage you NOT to participate in this holiday. I don’t want you to say something you didn’t do. So to get your mind off participating in it, I’m going to tell you to check out deals at Magazines.com so you can read about people who did make false confessions.
