Mitten Tree Day – Remember when you were growing up and made those fun winter arts and crafts projects in school? Well, I’m like 99% sure that’s what we’re celebrating today. I enjoy this holiday because I’m crazy about arts and crafts. If you ask me what my favorite subject was in school, I’d probably say Art. I’m not really that great at art, and the most I can draw is stick figures. Nonetheless, there’s something really fun about working with my hands and being creative. Maybe that’s part of the reason I still scrapbook. Enough about me! Today is all about Mitten Tree Day. Whether you have young kids at home, cousins, nieces, nephews or grandkids, this is a great project to do on a Saturday. Get them to draw or construct a huge holiday tree and make mittens out of construction paper. They can decorate and personalize them.
