Letter Writing Day – We’ve talked about how much I like writing and how therapeutic it is for me. Letter writing is also a fun activity and very reflective. My view towards letter writing is that sometimes it’s easier to express yourself on paper than in person. I find it challenging to say really emotional and heartwarming things to people who are closest to me. If I’m ever sad or upset or just feel like thanking them for being around, I usually write a letter. Nowadays, it’s the most personal form of communication and really shows that you sat down and took the time to tell the person how you feel. So now that a whole week of December has passed us by, it’s a good time to remind you that you should start writing and sending out your cards if you do that still. Today’s a great day to sit down with your address book and start writing your cards and send them out tomorrow. If you don’t usually send out cards and prefer to visit the person and hand them their card, then check out Current Catalog. National Cotton Candy Day – Ohh man! Cotton candy is delicious. I can’t have too much of it because it’s wayyy too sweet for me and I’m the Queen of sweets! The good thing about cotton candy or “fairy floss” (I like this one better) is that you can really only find it at carnivals. I would rarely find it at my local grocery store growing up. Nonetheless, I don’t know why we’re celebrating cotton candy in December since carnivals usually take place in the summer. I’m assuming that since we’re in the candy and chocolate season, perhaps we could celebrate just one more candy delicacy, like we don’t have enough already. Now, I’m going to refrain from telling you to get the kids in on the fun because they’re most likely on a sugar rush. So maybe you could just celebrate this holiday and reminisce about all the times you went to the fair as a kid and ate tons of cotton candy and…you guessed it POPCORN! These two foods go hand in hand at carnivals. Today, check out Dale and Thomas Popcorn and stock up for the holiday season. Save 15% on Dale and Thomas gourmet popcorn gifts, crates and gift certificates on orders of $85 or more when you use Dale and Thomas Popcorn coupons.
