Trivia Day – I’m not sure if I told you how I enjoy learning about random facts that have no significance to my life. Well, if not, now you know! I enjoy all kinds of trivia because it’s good food for thought. Whether it’s important to your life, trivia enlightens the mind. Plus, any bit of trivia means you can impress your friends. Think of all those times you were in a group and no one really knew what to say and the conversation was going a little dry. Well, maybe if you had some random facts of trivia up your sleeve, you can break the ice and get everyone talking. To get you started, here are some basic random facts you can use in your conversations with your coworkers. If you see someone who’s tired and reaching for coffee, recommend an apple instead since it works better than caffeine. When you hear someone mention the Chicken and the Egg situation, tell them the egg came first. World Hypnotism Day – Tick, tock, tick tock. You’re getting very sleepy. The topic of hypnosis scares me, maybe because it actually works. Many people use hypnosis to help them in certain areas of their lives. For example, some people undergo hypnosis to remember incidents in past lives, traumatic experiences as children or simpler areas like gaining control over your body so you can lose weight. Nonetheless, World Hypnotism Day is a holiday that is actually celebrated around the world in the efforts of promoting hypnosis and showing the benefits to people. Hypnosis is an ancient procedure that spans centuries past to the 1800s. As I said, hypnosis for me is a no go. However, I sometimes use the expression how when I’m really engaged in something, I’m almost hypnotized by whatever it is I’m doing. I could be playing a game on the computer, reading a book or watching a really interesting TV show or movie.
