January 9th - It was on this day in history in 1493 that manatees were first sighted by Christopher Columbus. Manatees have to be the cutest sea creatures in the world. They’re often referred to as sea cows thanks to their adorable, pudgy profile. Also, from what I hear, they’re very calm, friendly animals.
