National American Teddy Bear Day - Aw…teddy, we meet again! Today is quite different though because today is teddy’s birthday. He’s said to be 103 years old. Since we’re celebrating the American Teddy Bear, it’s important to shed light on where exactly the first teddy bear originated. It was back in 1902. President (Teddy) Roosevelt went hunting and while he was the most unsuccessful hunter, other members of his team decided to tie a bear cub to a tree and encouraged the President to take shots at it (how awful).
