No Comments »July 9th - Today, we’ve got a lot of celebrity birthdays. But before we get to them, I’d like to pay tribute to Italy…
2006 - Italy Wins the World Cup 5 - 3 vs France - So they didn’t win the Euro this year. But who needs the Euro when you can have the WORLD? I remember this day, my father got so excited when Italy scored their first goal that he jumped so high his knuckles hit the ceiling…stucco ceiling. As debris was falling onto the ceramic floor of our basement, I looked towards my mother for her reaction. Instead of yelling at my father for breaking our ceiling, she looked at his knuckles, which weren’t a pretty sight at all. But you try to convince my father that he needs stitches when Italy’s playing for the World Cup. He still has scars until this day, but our ceiling is intact. If you’re looking for jerseys or memorabilia to remember this day, head over to Eastbay. Use our free Eastbay coupons to save 20% on team jerseys & fan gear.
Famous Birthdays
Fred Savage, 32 - I remember feeling heartsick for Kevin Arnold when he had that HUGE crush on Winnie Cooper. I loved the way the “older Kevin” would narrate his own life and describe to me what was happening and what he learned from it. I used to look forward to every episode. In fact, I bought the DVD set. You can find The Wonder Years DVDs at Sony Style. Use our free Sony Style coupons to get your DVDs and videos for less.
Courtney Love, 43 - Why am I thinking of a coupon for red lipstick? Bright red lipstick that smudges easily? Hmmmm. Well, I’ve got waaaaaay better than that. I love that Courtney can play the guitar so well. That’s why I’m gonna give you our Instrument Pro coupons! Head over to Instrument Pro and use our free voucher to save 10% on any guitar or instrument!
Tom Hanks, 52 - This guy has to be THE most talented actor, in my eyes. His roles in films like Forrest Gump, Saving Private Ryan, The Green Mile and Cast Away completely blew me away. Some people didn’t like Cast Away much, but I thought it was so realistic. The fact that he became best friends with his Volleyball, William, was priceless. Seriously, he had to talk to someone, I think it kept him sane.
