October 28th - It was on this day in history in 1992 that Lee Jang Rim predicted this day to be the end of the world! I guess it’s safe to safe that he was waaaaaaaaaay off. It wasn’t the end for us, but this day was the beginning for many celebrities. There was a ton of them born on this day. Below, I’ve named a couple of my favorites, and with them you’ll find my favorite coupons too!

Famous Birthdays:

Joaquin Phoenix, 34 - He starred in the major-motion picture Walk the Line as he portrayed legendary country singer, Johnny Cash. I think he did an amazing job capturing Johnny’s essence and passion. So, check out our free coupons for Instrument Proto find the tool to express your emotions like Johnny Cash:

Julia Roberts, 41 - Okay, I know she’s starred in a lot of movies, but my favorite one will always be Pretty Woman. It’s all about shopping for designer clothing and turning from a frumpy duckling into a classy swan. Who wouldn’t love this movie? The scene of Julia shopping in Bloomingdale’s with a credit card that has no limit, I have to admit, I drooled a little. So, here are some amazing coupons from Yoox, Avenue & Bluefly for top-designer apparel at discounted prices:

  • Yoox Coupons - free shipping on top designer clothing like D&G, Armani, Versace & more!
  • Avenue Coupons - $20 off top-brand casual clothing & career wear when you spend $100 or more
  • Bluefly Coupons - 10% off brand-name power suits, dresses & shoes on purchases of $100 or more

So, whether you feel like singing a song with your new instrument or getting all dolled up in your favorite designer clothing, bottom line is…you don’t have to be a rich celebrity to get the best when you’ve got our coupons.  I think Lee Jang Rim’s ominous feeling of the end of the world had something to do with predicting that our coupons would end the world of high prices!

Make a Hat Day - WOW. Really? How do you go about doing that? OHHHHHH I remember. You probably do too…you just have to think back. Remember yet? Well, I’ll help you out (we have limited time here, folks). You were in grade school, in grade 1 or 2, and you made hats out of tissue paper or construction paper. Then you’d decorate with all sorts of things like feathers, glitter, sparkles, garland and stickers. After it was completed, you’d wear it around and it’d get ruined after 5 minutes since you were a ball of fire back then. Well, that was a lovely trip down memory lane, wasn’t it? Fast forward how many years, and we’re encouraged to make a hat again. Sure why not? Except, since you’re a tad older and more mature and probably run a business, maybe you could try a simpler and less crazy approach. Like…check out VistaPrint. Yes, they make hats, its true! These personalized hats are perfect for families, reunions and corporate purposes. All you have to do is tell them what you want and you can sport your own hat, designed by you…that won’t fall apart in 5 minutes! Apply VistaPrint coupons and save 50% on discount promotional and personalized hats, pens, cards and more.

August 29th - It was on this day in history in 1964 that Walt Disney’s Mary Poppins was released. I give it credit for my very active imagination today. Scenes like the one when Mary Poppins and the children jumped into a painting that they liked are amazing ways to get kids to imagine. It lets kids know that their minds are limitless and anything is possible. However, my very favorite scene is when Mary Poppins arrives in her room and begins unpacking. She has a carry-on type bag with her and starts pulling out clothes…knick knacks and…FURNITURE! The kids just watched her in amazement. Then she pulls out this loooooong standing lamp. Genius! Since this is my favorite part of the movie, I’m thinking a coupon for large bags and purses would fit. For large and stylish bags that you can literally carry your house in, head over to Avenue. Discover designer handbags and save 15% with exclusive Avenue coupons.

1968 - First U.S. Open Tennis Match - I used to think tennis was an easy sport, until I played it. I was so sore the next day…muscles that I didn’t even know existed ached with a vengeance. It’s a tough game that demands skill and endurance. I learned my lesson in assuming it was easy, that’s for sure. However, even though most of my body cried out in pain, my feet felt fine! I realized right away that it was because I was wearing New Balance tennis shoes. It helps when you’re wearing performance-oriented gear. And there’s a store that offers THE BEST tennis shoes, apparel, rackets and equipment in the universe: Dicks Sporting Goods. Head over there now and use free Dicks Sporting Goods coupons for a 15% discount on everything!

I believe that with a little body-firming cream, makeup applied correctly and bronzers, anyone can enhance their own features and beauty. They’ll be more radiant and best of all they’ll still be recognized by friends and family! So, if you’re ready to embrace your beauty, then head over to Beauty.com for a $10 discount when you spend $60 or more. Redeem Beauty.com coupons to claim this discount.
