Weatherperson’s Day – Now, if you’re anything like me and sick of winter, you probably wish your weatherperson would just say something like “clear skies, no snow and 100 degree weather from here on out!” Back to reality. I don’t know what it is about weather anchors. People have a love/hate relationship with them. Their personality may be great; however, their predictions may be a little off. This may annoy people just a tad. I remember there was one year that the weatherpeople were getting everything wrong! So do what I do, predict your own weather with the right tools from Plow and Hearth. Save up to 60% in the Clearance Center on weather thermometers, weather stations and more when you use Plow and Hearth coupons.

January 29th Holidays – Put Two Pieces of the Puzzle Together & Save $5 at Target & Magazines.com!

National Puzzle Day – I am a huge puzzle addict. Puzzles are cost effective, challenging, fun and rescue you when you’re bored! One Christmas, to keep my friend and I from spending, we bought a 3D puzzle set and were determined to take our time and complete the masterpiece. We started out a bit skeptical. However, night after night for two weeks, we worked on this puzzle. When we completed it…we bought another one. And another one after that, until we became too busy that puzzles could no longer occupy our time. To this day, I find our idea brilliant for people who are trying to save money or are straight out bored! And there’s one place that’ll provide you with these two things – Target! Save $5 on jigsaw, 3D and floor puzzles plus board games on orders of $50 or more when you use Target coupons.

Freethinkers Day – This is sort of a trick question because doesn’t everyone think what they want to think? You may be prohibited to say certain things in front of certain people; however, no one can tell you what you can and can’t think about. Your thoughts are personal, private and reflect what’s on your mind at any given minute. Today is a real holiday celebrating the birth of Thomas Paine, a leader of the American Revolution and an author of several published works. As a result, today we celebrate and appreciate his work towards advocating for free thought and the legacy and impact he left for freethinkers. I’ve been thinking about deals at Magazines.com. Save $5 on discount Forbes, Cosmopolitan and Blender magazine subscriptions when you use Magazines.com coupons.

Rainn Willson, 42 – He plays Dwight Schrule in The Office – the power-hungry guy who lacks some social skills and common sense. Although he can be a bit awkward at points as he lacks a sense of humor completely, he still makes my sides ache with laughter. Dwight’s into Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica and more sci-fi stuff. I bet if someone would get him something related to that stuff, he’d be totally psyched. Thesaurus Day – If it weren’t for the thesaurus, who knows where I would be right now. I discovered the thesaurus in elementary school and really started using it in high school to make my papers sound more appealing. In university, my thesaurus and I were inseparable. Who needed the dictionary to learn new words when you could use the thesaurus and learn 20 variations of the same word? Fascinating, huh? Well, first I’ll tell you a bit about the thesaurus. The first one was compiled in 1805 by Peter Roget. It has two functions – 1) to display every important term in the English language; 2) to provide a list of related terms. The thesaurus is a great way to spruce up your writing. For example, if your vocabulary is not where it should be, then pick up a thesaurus when you’re bored, need to attend an interview, or write an important paper, and look for new words and ways to express what you’re trying to say. People will take you seriously if you used more intellectual words for your age and stage in life. Now I’m sure you’re tired of hearing me say “Save ________” the same way twice a day, every day. So seeing as how it’s Thesaurus Day, I’ll jazz up the way I tell you to save at Brookstone. Seize Brookstone coupons to redeem $15 off on digital photo albums, sleeper sofas and exercise machines on orders of $150 or more!

Winnie the Pooh Day – Brace yourselves. I am the biggest Winnie the Pooh fan ever. He’s like the cutest and cuddliest character. And he’s just soo nice! How many bears do you know that were as nice and pretty as Winnie? Um, none! That’s what I thought. I was soo obsessed with Winnie the Pooh. Everything from my comforter to my knapsack, my pajamas and my birthday parties HAD to have a Winnie the Pooh theme. I drove my mom crazy for Winnie. When I hit high school, me and Winnie had to part ways. It was sad, I got over it though. Eventually…OK, I secretly still had my Winnie the Pooh stash in my basement for when I got lonely. Ho hum! Regardless, Winnie the Pooh Day is a day to celebrate the inventor and writer of the character of Winnie the Pooh, wait a minute…HE’S NOT REAL? Kidding! Today is A.A. Milne’s birthday. If you’re wondering how to celebrate, perhaps you could catch Winnie on television, pop in a Winnie movie, or dig up some Winnie treasures you still have lying around your basement and pass them onto the toddler in your life. Today I say you check out Target for everything Pooh related. Save $5 on Winnie the Pooh comforters, pillows and plush animals on orders of $50 or more when you use Target coupons.

January 8th Holidays – OK Class, Listen up! Today Is “Show & Tell!” I’m Showing & Telling You to Save $5 at Overstock & Target!

Show and Tell Day at Work – Well, this is quite funny, isn’t it? Show and Tell is an integral activity in elementary school. So does it make any sense to you why we have to participate in this activity at work? YES! Personally, I think it would be fun if offices participated collectively in these types of activities. Speaking to some of my coworkers, they couldn’t agree more. I’m sure you’re pretty confused still why you should show and tell one of your most prized possessions at work. I know you might think people might not care, but trust me, they will. And it doesn’t have to be anything big. Well, it can be, that’s up to you. Since we’re in the beginning of the month, straight from the holidays, I’m sure you have plenty of new gadgets and clothes too you still need to sport. So do that today! Do a stroll around the office while you’re on break and show and tell. If people look at you in a weird way, tell them about this holiday, and depending on how fun your office is, you could continue show and tell tomorrow, which is a Friday, so everyone can use some fun! If you’re one of those people who gets money in your stocking and haven’t been able to do any shopping yet, discover deals at Overstock. Save $5 on discount Canon digital cameras, Apple iPods and palm pilots on orders of $100 or more when you use Overstock coupons.

Bubble Bath Day – Doesn’t this sound fantastic? A nice hot and relaxing bubble bath, just you and your favorite person – YOU! If you’re getting back in the swing of things or have been stressed lately, then it’s time to chill out and allow your senses to be calmed. Sure I may not love bubble baths; however, I could use a nice break. Bubble baths are meant to be boring. Hence, they require you to do nothing. If you’re a busy bee like me who hates being bored, then bubble baths are a little scary. It’s just you and soap and water. AHH. What will we do? Well, ever since I was little, I developed a little activity to keep me occupied during bath time. I didn’t want to get my Barbie dolls wet, so I’d use shampoo bottles and pretend they were Barbies. Think Adam Sandler in Billy Madison. At least it entertained me for the time I was in the bath. My point is: the hustle and bustle of everyday life can get to you after a while. It’s important that you take some time to bring your body and life into normal speed. You can’t walk around like Jim Carrey all the time. Somebody stop him for real! Well, back to the holiday, there’s not much else you can do except enjoy some peaceful serenity today. Best part of taking a bath is what you get to wrap yourself in after – luxurious towels from Target. Save $5 on cotton towel sets, monogrammed towels and bath essentials on orders of $50 or more when you use Target coupons.
